I've spent almost three decades looking at life a little differently. Where some people walk right past and see an ordinary moment, I see a photograph waiting to happen.

I notice the little things. The nervous hands, the uncontrollable laughter, the quiet glances, the dirt on the boots, the tears nobody expected. The moments that happen between the posed shots.

Photography isn't just something I do. It's how I see the world.

I'm a country girl at heart, a Mom of three boys, an award-winning photographer and someone who believes the best stories aren't always the ones we plan.

Put me behind the bucking chutes at a rodeo, starting gate a motocross race or in the seat of my RZR with my husband and my camera and I'm in my element. While everyone else is watching the 8 second ride, I'm watching the cowboy before the ride. Pull his glove tight, running his hand down the rope to get rosin on it and the deep breath before he nods and says “ok boys” as the gate swings open. There's a whole session happening before the 8 second action shots even begin.

And THAT’S how I approach every photograph, whether it's a family, a couple, a cowboy, or a quiet landscape.

I love the imperfect. The unexpected. The beautifully unscripted. Along with the posed, smiling and giggling.
